Taranto

Between Mare Grande and Mare Piccolo, Taranto perpetuates its seafaring tradition to the present day. The millenary Duomo di San Cataldo, restored to its original Romanesque style, the Baroque double high staircase, the great ogival portal of San Domenico and the imposing Aragonese Castle overlooking the canal today continue to be the symbols of the City of the two seas, with its mythical Spartan ancestry, in which old and new traditions have merged.
